Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-disk-utility
Expected behaviour: 'Eject' opens a closed tray, closes an open tray Actual behaviour: 'Eject' opens a closed tray, causes error with open tray: Error ejecting media An error occurred while performing an operation on "CD/DVD Drive" (...drive details...): The operation failed Details No media in drive While this is a clear error message (put a disk in the drive stupid!), this is not what I would expect, and not very friendly. Papercut perhaps? *behaviour (sic): AU behavior ProblemType: Bug Architecture: i386 Date: Tue Mar 2 04:39:28 2010 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 10.04 LiveMediaBuild: Ubuntu 10.04 "Lucid Lynx" - Alpha i386 (20100224.1) Package: gnome-disk-utility 2.29.0~git20100222.e85476-1 ProcEnviron: LANG=en_US.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.32-14.20-generic SourcePackage: gnome-disk-utility Uname: Linux 2.6.32-14-generic i686 ** Affects: gnome-disk-utility (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apport-bug i386 lucid -- 'Error ejecting media' when 'Eject' while CD drive open https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/530483 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
