Binary package hint: network-manager-kde
The system configuration checkbox in the KDE version of the network
manager GUI is disabled. I can't find anyway to enable it. This is a
very vital piece of functionality as it allows the network to come up
without the desktop. I've been using wicd in Karmic but I decided to
give NetworkManager another chance in Lucid. See attached screenshot.
