I don't like the idea, on the contrary. It IS the "niceness" value, and I guess someone should learn a bit about unix system administration before fiddling with such things... I most certainly wouldn't be delighted to see standard niceness numbers converted to some other arbitrary "priority" values like percents or whatever.
