Can you post the contents of /etc/init.d/tinyproxy? As far as I know, tinyproxy does not do that kind of chown, it does a separate chown and chgrp, so I wonder where that is coming from. Does it fail with the newer versions in Ubuntu, or with 1.8.0-1 from Debian squeeze/sid?
