Hi >From the command line just enter
startupmanager Then yes, a dialog box appears. After typing my password, the message 'an error occurred... ' appears as described above, followed by 'Failed to...' That is, I have given my sudo-password before the error messages are shown. However, if i enter sudo startupmanager I go straight to the application without warnings. In both cases the application itself looks fine, as seen in the attached file (in Danish). I opened the bug report because A) I think that these two use cases are equal, because in both cases the sudo password has been entered. Either there should be warnings in both cases or none. B) If there should be warnings I think the wording could be better. It is tech-speak making little sense to the average user. ** Attachment added: "startupmanager.png" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/39560937/startupmanager.png -- Startupmanager: Error messages https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/517339 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
