Hi Igor. To clarify, I wasn't suggesting it was only a problem with VMWare/VirtualBox, but that that is how I have most consistently recreated the problem. The bug assignee still hasn't marked this as confirmed, so I was just trying to help provide them a pretty sure-fire (in my experience) way to recreate the issue. I don't believe it's a client program issue, but hopefully they can start to recreate the issue themselves and be able to diagnose it directly on their machines.
