Thanks for your report.
This issue will be progressively fixed with the releases of software-
center ( https://wiki.ubuntu.com/SoftwareCenter ) and should replace
synaptic in Ubuntu 10.10
For Ubuntu 10.10, we plan to:
* Provide the ability to purchase software from within the Center.
* Make Ubuntu Software Center a viable alternative to Synaptic, allowing
the same fine-grained package control and handling of error cases.
o Establish and convey a trust level for software in PPAs, and let
you easily add PPAs within the Center.
I'm closing this issue as won't fix for synaptic. Thanks and don't
hesitate to submit any new bug.
