This is happening for me, as of today, too.
Since it worked until booting today, I guess it's related rather to cryptsetup 
for me.
But the symptoms are the same: it's waiting for my passphrase file mounted 
partitions forever. I can work around this by killing init Alt-SysRq-I, logging 
in as root and running "mountall": it then mounts everything correctly.
