Indeed, version 1.2.0 from the Karmic PPA crashes in a Lucid environment. I' ve tried switching between the libXXX-extra packages as provided by Ubuntu and those from the Medibuntu repository. There is no effect on whether a certain winff version works or not.
Which other parts of the system could this be related to?
