Using startup language "german" f***s up the whole screen. It's
completely grey and white with some jaint but magnified logos in the top
menu line. No mouse visible.
Using "english" I get the Ubuntu background. The mouse curser shows the
"busy" icon quite a while, and I end up with only the background and the
mouse cursor, no menu icons, no mouse functionality with either button,
even no menu bar on the top. I cannot even initiate a program with
"alt-F2".

I will check the alpha2 release using language "english" and inform you
if anything is different from the "german" behaviour.
