see, you are using the binary driver with edgy, and free driver with
feisty.
You cannot install nvidia directly, it has to be done by hand after
installation, and the free driver doesn't have 3D-support at all.
Could you post the result of 'sudo xresprobe nv' and 'sudo ddcprobe'
from Feisty.
