hi, yes sounds work now for i use karmic koala.. if i will reinstall jaunty.. the sound will disappear again.. i guess the problem is with jaunty.. if i install avant manager now on karmic koala.. it kills rythmbox.(stock on my screen-no reaction) i experienced it and i reported it already.. 2 things i have not tested , the lightscriber function and sd card of this HP..i always forget.. and i do not see any software for it from synptic pkg mgr.. If i reinstall the original OS which is windows 7.. lightscribe works and sd/mmm card slot..of course with additional software given to me by laptop dealer.. linux for this laptop is good.. except for some packages i installed which sometimes kills other packages..
