The screen goes COMPLETELY black after GRUB. It doesn't just show a
black image, it dies completely. The HDD light continues to blink for a
while, and it seems that everything is loaded behind the veil of
blackness.
This happens with kernels 2.6.32-11-generic, and 2.6.32-12-generic(The
latest kernel at the time of writing). It does not happen with kernels
2.6.32-10-generic and earlier, though it should probably be mentioned
that nothing but VESA has been able to get me to a GUI so far.
- EDIT: It works with nomodeset, but this definitely isn't optimal. Also,
- I'm back to normal graphics drivers with the latest kernel.
