Public bug reported:

Hey erverybody..

i need some help. i have an old computer i'm trying too install ubuntu
9.10 on. it's a asus pentium 4. the problem is to start ubuntu. when i
start the computer it seems like it dosn't start the gnu grub loader.
the only thing there is on the screen is just the word "grub" and not
the normal loader options. using the my live cd i can open ubuntu and it
works fine. but i would like to turn on my computer without using the
live cd. i've tried installing various vers. of gnu grub in the
synaptics without any luck.

hope anybody can help me..!
