I made another test and removed the "override_mail_sender_in_testsuite" patch from quilt 0.46-8ubuntu1 and it still builds... So I found on the changelog:
* [debian/patches/override_mail_sender_in_testsuite] override the mail sender in the testsuite so that it works even on misconfigured chroots used to compile etch over and over (Closes: #393985). So according to http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=393985 This happens when quilt fails to retrieve the hostname, ie: - /etc/mailname does not exist - `hostname -f` does not return a fqdn - neither does `hostname` Ie, it only happens on misconfigured build daemons and chroots I can't remember exactly but I might have tried to build it using a misconfigured pbuilder... Anyway I believe that override_mail_sender_in_testsuite should be updated... ** Bug watch added: Debian Bug tracker #393985 http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=393985 ** Changed in: quilt (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => Fix Committed -- quilt fails to build from source https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/401982 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
