I don't know. The inconvenience of upgrading Ubuntu 9.04 -> 9.10 will probably be severe, so I haven't attempted it. My daughter's laptop is System76 Lemur Ultrathin with Karmic, and she hasn't complained (after I installed the Firefox ubuntu extras). I don't know what version Firefox she has, but it came with the box from System76.
