Alexander were you able to find anything in the profile that would cause this issue? Matt the bug about firefox not opening new windows in tab is another bug report. I dont remember what one but i believe it was fixed. Please upgrade to latest ubuntu version of firefox in edgy repos and let me know. If it still doesnt open in tabs please file another bug report for that issue.
