Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: bash

In a directory with files in it hitting tab (for completion) regularly
gives errors if there are characters to the right of the cursor. A good
example is the command line "cat " which gives a error when the cursor
is between the two space characters, but nowhere else on the line.
