This is a kernel annoyment. I'm not sure if it is fixed in later versions (do you use a kernel from the proposed repository?), you can however work around this bug with the following kernel command line option: libata.noacpi=1 Add that to the GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT variable in /etc/default/grub (GRUB2 only, I assume you're using 9.10) and you should be set.
