** Description changed: Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-intel in Ubuntu 9.04. updating from "xserver-xorg-video-intel_2:2.9.0-1ubuntu2~xup~1_i386.deb" to "xserver-xorg-video-intel_2:2.9.0-1ubuntu2~xup~3_i386.deb" caused the mouse pointer to be invisible after boot under gdm. Under xfce there is no problem. Opening a terminal (blindly) and just typing a CR from the command line would restore the pointer. Going back to "xserver-xorg-video-intel_2:2.9.0-1ubuntu2~xup~1_i386.deb" solved the problem. + + [lspci] + 00:00.0 Host bridge [0600]: Intel Corporation 82945G/GZ/P/PL Memory Controller Hub [8086:2770] (rev 02) + Subsystem: ASUSTeK Computer Inc.
