I had the same issue with Lucid in VirtualBox 3.1.4beta2. It only started happening in the last week after I extensively edited xorg.conf to try and get displaylink drivers working. I fixed it by removing everything from xorg.conf except for:
Section "InputDevice" Identifier "VBoxMouse" Driver "vboxmouse" Option "CorePointer" EndSection Lucid's X doesn't seem to auto-detect the vboxmouse driver, and without it the mouse is blank in VBox when 3d effects are enabled. -- Lucid Lynx alpha in a virtual box -with normal 3d settings no misc https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/495182 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
