Pepe: The resume / suspend issue is gone for me. What happened was that this laptop had its motherboard / hard drive changed (due to some technical issue that is still present). After your comment on 2010-02-04, i installed Ubuntu 9.10 (AMD64) on the laptop, with all updates (because only windows was running on it).
With the latest updates (2.6.31-19-generic #56-Ubuntu SMP Thu Jan 28 02:39:34 UTC 2010 x86_64 GNU/Linux), i'm not having the resume / suspend issue, but am having trouble getting wireless started (have to press the wireless button manually). I'll try the new kernel, and report back shortly.
