Public bug reported: Binary package hint: cupsys
Color printing to the HP Color Laserjet 2600n in Edgy has two problems: 1) By default color printing is not enabled, and cannot be enabled through the GUI. A file must be edited; see: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/HardwareSupportComponentsPrintersHp http://www.ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php?p=1949451&postcount=9 2) Once color printing is enabled, the color is way off from what Windows will produce with the same picture. I've tried the default "Default ICM color correction", the "File hpclj2600n-0.icm", and "No ICM color correction". All produce the same results on a test page, which is that the "blue" scale appears to be shades of a dark purple. The other colors look, to my untrained eye, to be OK. If necessary I'll be glad to snail-mail you a test page. ** Affects: cupsys (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- Problems with color printing on Laserjet 2600n https://launchpad.net/bugs/90250 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
