You can build the Lucid packages on your 64-bit system using the prevu 
backporting utility
There is a howto at https://wiki.kubuntu.org/Prevu

Probably, given the small number of people affected, there will be no
official release until Lucid is out.

I can confirm that the Lucid packages work on my system, as do the
Debian Sid versions. However, I don't know how to go about 'driving the
testing' as Martin suggests.
