I don't know why, but I've compiled the ubuntu kernel for karmic (2.6.31-17) with the acpi module (battery, ac, etc) loadable externally and so the ac adapter finally works. I'm a newbie with kernel compiling, but if someone want it to try, I can share my kernel packages.
