met the same problem on ubuntu 9.10 64bit, disabling, enabling the plugin and restarting Rhymebox twice, and finally login in last.fm It seem the last.fm plugin remembered a wrong password(typo), and kept overwriting my new input and submitting the wrong password to last.fm server.
