I also have this problem with 64 bit Karmic and a Canon N670U. Installing libsane_1.0.19-23ubuntu7_amd64.deb and libsane- extras_1.0.19.11ubuntu2_amd64.deb as suggested above doesn't help.

This probably reflects a bug in the program. The error was 'BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes)'. (Details: serial 34971 error_code 8 request_code 151 minor_code 5) (Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously; that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it. To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.) -- xsane crashes after aquire preview https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/428476 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
