I am using 9.10 (karmic) and have this issue. I want to show more of my albums / artists and less of my song list. To do so I have to scroll the pane (click and drag) every time I open Rhythmbox. It should save but doesn't.
I tried the conf edit but there was no "window_keys" entry.
