I'm on a wired connection right now, so I removed all traces of madwifi I could find. Hopefully, that will prevent any bad behavior from happening. It turns out I had the latest version of linux-backports- modules-wireless-karmic-generic, and my wifi still wasn't working with ath5k. So I downloaded the latest compat-wireless stack from the site you provided, which was compat-wireless-2010-01-27. I installed the ath5k drivers using driver-select and restarted. My wireless still isn't working.
According to lshw, the card is still under "DISABLED" and lspci -v shows that it's under the control of ath5k, so everything looks good in that regard. So I guess this will have to be submitted upstream then? ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => New -- No ath5k support for D-Link DWL-G520 (AR5001X+) card https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/465959 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
