I have re evaluated my assessment of this bug and from an Ubuntu point of view the bug is actually invalid. A quick definition of a bug is an error in programming that causes the program to behave incorrectly, both programs behave correctly with just a simple conflict in display settings. Because of this i have drawn the conclusion that this isn't a bug but a request for a change in program defaults.
However, i do appreciate your problem and looked at ways of solving it. Changing the Ubuntu theme because of one programs confliction in display is simply not viable so the only alternative is for contact to be made with the team at Gwibber so that a solution can be made. As a result I have subscribed them to this bug report and I'm sure someone from their team can shed some light on this very soon. My apologies if my earlier assessment seemed in any way dismissive i was simply looking at the bug from an Ubuntu point of view. I hope this helps! ** Changed in: ubuntu Status: Confirmed => Invalid -- Dark Theme results in white text on white background for updates https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/473515 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
