This option force on kernel to use other method of allocation PCI resources. IHMO only way to use this method (CRS) is append this option to kernel parameters. So I think this resolution is not best, becouse this is not nature of the problem. The question is: why kernel with 4gb ram can't correctly allocate PCI resource using classical (not CRS) method, this is important because in future this option (use_crs) can be removed or changed.
