I see the same annoying behaviour, using kubuntu 9.10 nvidia-glx-185 and corresponding packages; it occurs irregularly, but more than once per week, whenever I left-click (on anything; e.g. on the configure button of the notes plasma widget - ref. backtrace below).
The first two lines of the backtrace are identical, so I suppose it's the same bug.
