Scott James Remnant: "Modern systems do not use usbfs..." (http://markmail.org/message/3mw5yw465qmxgnwp)
Please, check this: http://www.aladdin.com/support/hasp/enduser.aspx and this: http://www.safenet-inc.com/Support_and_Downloads/Download_Drivers/Sentinel_Drivers.aspx The lates HASP and Sentinel drivers for linux are about 2 or 1.5 years old. Is this modern enough? How about users, who use software with HASP or Sentinel (Rainbow) security keys and need usbfs to function properly? Don't you care about such users? I use such software and I need usbfs support. And I have to choose other linux distribution, not Ubuntu family, because one "very smart" guy in Canonical think, that "Modern systems do not use usbfs...". Did you hear something about backward compatibility? -- Linux kernel 2.6.31-18 in Kubuntu 9.10 Karmic Koala doesn't support usbfs. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/507824 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
