I wish I could edit my previous post. I said "After having to kill fgfs the gnome-screensaver wont start in gnome unless I end the gnome- screensaver process and power-manager process then restart the screensaver and power-manager" I don't have to end the gnome-power- manager, only the gnome-screensaver then restart the gnome-screensaver.
