Public bug reported: I'm using X.Org X server ATI drivers on my Dell Vostro 1000. With the latest version of X.Org X server driver, there's no chance I can suspend/hibernate then resume my laptop, so I followed a guide here: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1371844 to down grade my X.Org X server driver with xserver-xorg-video-ati_6.12.1-0ubuntu2_amd64.deb xserver-xorg-video-radeon_6.12.1-0ubuntu2_amd64.deb
After downgrade the driver, I can hibernate and suspend and then resume my Ubuntu 9.10 finely. However, if I closed my Laptop Lid, then Ubuntu will hang. Well, too much headache for a Windows-backgrounded guy like me. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: ati close-laptop-lid -- Using X.Org X server ATI on Dell Vostro 1000: Close computer lid cause my Ubuntu 9.10 to hang. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/512626 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
