I have tried the following, and in effect, to nvidia-installer, it's the same. Linux source for this version doesn't seem to have version.h for some reason, here are the two methods I've tried:
sudo apt-get install linux-source linux-headers cd /usr/src tar xjf linux-source-2.6.32-11-generic.tar.bz2 Then, I tried one of the two methods to have the sources in /usr/src/linux: 1. mv linux-source-2.6.32-11-generic linux 2. ln -s linux-source-2.6.32-11-generic linux However, the directory that you suggested (linux- headers-2.6.32-11-generic) does not exist in /usr/src, nor any tarball to extract headers from. There is only Linux source files, no headers in /usr/src. Here is a screen cap of the /usr/src/ directory in Nautilus: http://azabani.com/images/lucid-source I still can't install the .run package; /usr/src/linux/include/linux/ exists, but the file in that directory, version.h, does not. -- Lucid alpha: can't install NVIDIA .run driver because /usr/src/linux/include/linux/version.h is missing https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/511833 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
