Public bug reported: Binary package hint: f-spot
I can only reproduce it when importing a particular thumbnail from my camera. I shall try to attach it to this message; if that won't work I'll post a URL where to find it. This happens during downloading of the thumbnails. If I download the thumbnail separately (with gphoto2) and then ask f-spot to import that thumbnail, it doesn't crash but simply says there's no images in that directory. Steps to reproduce: For the crash: 0. Attach camera (Canon powershot A610). 1. Start f-spot. 2. Click the plus in the lower left corner. 3. Select camera (PTP mode). Actual result: It shows a crash dialog with this text: ---------------------------- An unhandled exception was thrown: Error displaying image in <0x00068> Gdk.PixbufLoader:Close () in <0x0002c> Gdk.PixbufLoader:InitFromStream (System.IO.Stream stream) in <0x00016> Gdk.PixbufLoader:.ctor (System.IO.Stream stream) in <0x0001d> Gdk.Pixbuf:.ctor (System.IO.Stream stream) in <0x0006e> GPhotoCamera:GetPreviewPixbuf (.GPhotoCameraFile camfile) in <0x00181> FSpot.CameraFileSelectionDialog:GetPreviews () in <0x00300> FSpot.CameraFileSelectionDialog:CreateInterface () in <0x00012> FSpot.CameraFileSelectionDialog:Run () in <0x00214> MainWindow:ImportCamera (System.String camera_device) in <0x0021c> ImportCommand:set_Source (.SourceItem value) in <0x0003e> ImportCommand+SourceMenu:HandleActivated (System.Object sender, System.EventArgs args) in (wrapper delegate-invoke) System.MulticastDelegate:invoke_void_object_EventArgs (object,System.EventArgs) in <0x00093> GLib.Signal:voidObjectCallback (IntPtr handle, IntPtr gch) in (wrapper native-to-managed) GLib.Signal:voidObjectCallback (intptr,intptr) in <0x00000> <unknown method> in (wrapper managed-to-native) Gtk.Dialog:gtk_dialog_run (intptr) in <0x0001d> Gtk.Dialog:Run () in <0x0049d> ImportCommand:ImportFromFile (.PhotoStore store, System.String path) in <0x00054> MainWindow:HandleImportCommand (System.Object sender, System.EventArgs e) in (wrapper delegate-invoke) System.MulticastDelegate:invoke_void_object_EventArgs (object,System.EventArgs) in <0x00093> GLib.Signal:voidObjectCallback (IntPtr handle, IntPtr gch) in (wrapper native-to-managed) GLib.Signal:voidObjectCallback (intptr,intptr) in <0x00000> <unknown method> in (wrapper managed-to-native) Gtk.Application:gtk_main () in <0x00007> Gtk.Application:Run () in <0x00007> Gnome.Program:Run () in <0x00542> FSpot.Driver:Main (System.String[] args) .NET Version: 1.1.4322.2032 Assembly Version Information: libgphoto2-sharp (1.0.2334.23664) FlickrNet (1.1.0.0) System.Web (1.0.5000.0) gconf-sharp (2.8.0.0) pango-sharp (2.8.0.0) SemWeb (0.5.0.2) glade-sharp (2.8.0.0) gtkhtml-sharp (2.8.0.0) System.Data (1.0.5000.0) Mono.Data.SqliteClient (1.0.5000.0) gdk-sharp (2.8.0.0) Mono.Posix (1.0.5000.0) gnome-vfs-sharp (2.8.0.0) dbus-sharp (0.60.0.0) System (1.0.5000.0) atk-sharp (2.8.0.0) gtk-sharp (2.8.0.0) glib-sharp (2.8.0.0) gnome-sharp (2.8.0.0) f-spot (0.0.0.0) mscorlib (1.0.5000.0) Platform Information: Linux 2.6.16-execsh-1-beer2 i686 unknown GNU/Linux Disribution Information: [/etc/debian_version] testing/unstable [/etc/lsb-release] DISTRIB_ID=Ubuntu DISTRIB_RELEASE=6.06 DISTRIB_CODENAME=dapper DISTRIB_DESCRIPTION="Ubuntu 6.06 LTS" ---------------------------- I now need to click 'Exit' to exit f-spot.
