Yea same problem here but I never noticed because I never use headphones. As for the laptop=eapd:
It's the setting for a Clevo M540JE, M550JE that seems to work OK for our model. I guess that ALSA never made support for certain models with the 883 codec. Examples can be found in this post: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/106634 Here is where it gets depressing. This problem has been reported on the ALSA bugtracker: https://bugtrack.alsa-project.org/alsa-bug/view.php?id=3544 Notice that the last post is dated 2008-11-09. Looks like if we want decent working sound we better learn to program. ** Bug watch added: ALSA Bug Tracker #3544 https://bugtrack.alsa-project.org/alsa-bug/view.php?id=3544 -- cannot hear sound in LG P1 Express laptop https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/460330 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
