Yea same problem here but I never noticed because I never use
headphones.

As for the laptop=eapd:

It's the setting for a Clevo M540JE, M550JE that seems to work OK for
our model.

I guess that ALSA never made support for certain models with the 883
codec.

Looks like if we want decent working sound we better learn to program.
