In reply to my own previous post I made a mistake: the solution given at the URL above, in Question C, will work even if DNS address changes. Note that the Question C is "c. What if I connect to several different networks and would like to use the DNS servers offered via DHCP, but still want to augment my DNS search path with a static set of domains?"
