Public bug reported: Binary package hint: udev
since the latest kernel update on karmic 2.6.31-16.53 => 2.6.31-17.54 my dvb-t and dvb-s devices do no longer work, not with vdr and not with kaffeine. The reason is: the device nodes aren't the same anymore. There used to be: /dev/dvb/adapter0/[demux0|dvr0|frontend0|net0] now there is: /dev/dvb0.[demux0|dvr0|frontend0|net0] The the kernel documentation linked below states how to solve this issue with new udev rules: http://www.mjmwired.net/kernel/Documentation/dvb/udev.txt Haven't tested this yet (lazy me switched back to the older kernel ;) ), if you need testing, got one dvb-t and one dvb-s(2) device here. Cheers! ** Affects: udev (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- dvb device nodes changed https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/509201 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
