Public bug reported: Binary package hint: mplayer
I have a dvd -t card with an additional s-video interface. 00:0a.0 Multimedia controller: Philips Semiconductors SAA7131/SAA7133/SAA7135 Video Broadcast Decoder (rev d1) Via this interface I attach a VHS player and want to view videos. This works fine, but unfortunately mplayer does not detect sound. Nevertheless, sound is definitely available: When I start the following command arecord -D hw:1,0 -f S16_LE | aplay in another window I can hear the sound of the video. These are the messages at mplayer startup: mplayer tv:// -tv driver=v4l2:norm=PAL:input=1:amode=1:width=384:height=288 -v MPlayer SVN-r29237-4.4.1 (C) 2000-2009 MPlayer Team CPU vendor name: AuthenticAMD max cpuid level: 1 CPU: AMD Sempron(tm) 3000+ (Family: 6, Model: 10, Stepping: 0) extended cpuid-level: 8 extended cache-info: 33587520 Detected cache-line size is 64 bytes Testing OS support for SSE... yes.
