Public bug reported: During an automated fsck (triggered after a hard reboot caused by a system lock-up), the check for file system integrity exits with a failure, and starting the maintenance shell exits with a failure as well (errors like "cannot find lesspipe", etc...).
This is likely caused by having the partition on which the executables are not mounted (only "/" was apparently mounted). It would be nice to have a fallback, or at least an explicit message for less-advanced user. ** Affects: Ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- failure while starting a maintenance shell https://launchpad.net/bugs/89595 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
