I think this problem may still exist for the r200. I downloaded the latest version in CVS: as shown on the Gutenprint page (http://gutenprint.sourceforge.net/p_Download.php3)
then used the autogen.sh script to generate make files etc, and installed them. Attached is the output from printingbuginfo.
