@Jonas: Driver errors are logged in the Xorg log file, can you please
attach /var/log/Xorg.0.log after the driver fails when you get the time?

@AbleUser: This sure is possible, but please don't forget that those
drivers are really hard to remove once they're installed and you have to
re-run the installation script when you get a kernel update.
