I have this problem running Thunderbird 2.0.0.23 and Ubuntu 9.10 . My work around is to hit [reply] instead of forwarding the message, and then to edit the address in the "To:" field and thus send to my intended recipient instead of the originating address. It strikes me as the code for forwarding and replying should be nearly the same. The reply process works, can that not be adopted into the forwarding code?
