I can confirm this bug, on a fresh Karmic installation (AMD64). No non-pdf printing problems detected; also, okular and acroread prints pdfs fine. I tried three different networked printer, with the same result: reports that job is started and completed, but no paper appears. I have HP printers and HPLIP reports the same thing (i.e., no problems).
