Public bug reported: Binary package hint: fontconfig
I've the Adobe Type 1 "basic types" package which includes Helvetica and Helvetica Narrow fonts. I think I've installed them correctly: $ fc-list | grep Helveti Helvetica:style=Narrow Bold Helvetica:style=Oblique Helvetica:style=Narrow Helvetica:style=Bold Helvetica:style=Narrow Oblique Helvetica:style=Regular Helvetica:style=Narrow Bold Oblique Helvetica:style=Bold Oblique but $ fc-match Helvetica:Oblique hvno____.pfb: "Helvetica" "Narrow Oblique" I'd have expected hvo______.pfb, "Hevetica" "Oblique". And worse, fc- match -s doesn't even present the correct result in its list. $ lsb_release -rd Description: Ubuntu 9.10 Release: 9.10 $ apt-cache policy fontconfig fontconfig: Installed: 2.6.0-1ubuntu12 Candidate: 2.6.0-1ubuntu12 Version table: *** 2.6.0-1ubuntu12 0 500 http://fr.archive.ubuntu.com karmic/main Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status ** Affects: fontconfig (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- fontconfig strange selection https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/504235 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
