In Adobe Bug System the issue is marked as fixed for FP-40. A note from an Adobe employee (Charles Liss, the assigned QA member of Adobe) says that the fix will be available in Flash Player v10.1 and a beta is available for testing at http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/flashplayer10.html. Many have reported that the beta indeed fixes the problem for them. However a few reported that they still have problem with the new beta. Allegedly Adobe rewrote the entire text input engine in the upcoming 10.1 version which should fix an array of bugs ... and of course introduce new ones. :-) Let's hope we get our fix for this one.
