This seems linked to some other issues being exhibited in aptitude. So, this crash is almost identical to the crash I experienced earlier today. It all seems to be a problem with the locale.
I'm using EN-UTF-8. I also have localepurge installed with the following output: sudo dpkg-reconfigure localepurge perl: warning: Setting locale failed. perl: warning: Please check that your locale settings: LANGUAGE = (unset), LC_ALL = (unset), LANG = "en_US.UTF-8" are supported and installed on your system. perl: warning: Falling back to the standard locale ("C"). locale: Cannot set LC_CTYPE to default locale: No such file or directory locale: Cannot set LC_ALL to default locale: No such file or directory /usr/bin/locale: Cannot set LC_CTYPE to default locale: No such file or directory /usr/bin/locale: Cannot set LC_ALL to default locale: No such file or directory -- software-center crashed with ImportError in getEffectiveLevel() https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/503703 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
