Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-panel
When using auto-hide with Gnome Panel and transparency, the transparency will look good when you're on the desktop or using unmaximized windows, but with windows maximized, the transparency shows the desktop wallpaper - not the window underneath and it looks hideous. As pictures are worth 1000 words, I've attached some examples. The transparency of the panel should include whatever is underneath the panel at the time, instead of just the desktop wallpaper.
